The new transom-transom facade by Hueck/Hartmann is characterized by a continuously equal profile geometry in mullion and transom. This facilitates clear, multi-stage rationalization effects concerning production, tool costs, storage and assembly.
There are also definite advantages for the construction of heads and sills, whose connections are realized with the help of a functional slide-in profile. This does not only enable a secured foil connection, but also individually designed fixing plates. Moreover, any notch is dispensable at connection.
The low edge radius of the profiles permits optically attractive mullion-transom joints and thus guarantees a convincing facade optics despite equal profile depth.
Basis of the new VF 50 transom-transom-facade is a newly developed function connector with punch tenons at the front, penetrating the mullion wall and resulting in a connection, fast to assemble and with a maximum of weight discharge.
The essential completely sealed transom connection secures an exactly positioned transom housing gasket without sealing material and thus reliably eliminates water escape. An effective drainage is possible without additional plastic- or othersupplementary profiles in the profile.
A moulded part for ventilation which can be positioned variably and which can be inserted belatedly if necessary provides the vapour pressure equalization.
Due to a moulded insulating body in the glazing rebate which, like the convection in the glazing rebate does, cuts off heat conduction and thermal radiation, the facade complies with highest insulation requirements.
End pieces for the positioning above the transom housing gaskets true to size are responsible for shortest assembly times, while notches in the insulating body ease the exact positioning of the short lengths. A high degree of pre-fabrication and short assembly times rationalize the build-up of the VF 50 transom-transom-facade. The facade does not require any milling and, even in varying profile depths, neither a change of drilling jigs nor a change of punching tools.
The transom-transom-facade by Hueck/Hartmann is an interesting, variable modular system, combining proven and new aspects in a convincingly easy way and giving new impulses in design and economics to the current glass facade.
