Window fittings now available for maximum sash weights of 160 kg - Broader range of fittings for Hueck 1.0 series

  • Lüdenscheid, Germany, 14 January 2005. The current trend in architecture is buildings with light-flooded façades and large glazed areas. If the façade is to maintain a harmonious appearance, the window sashes need to be correspondingly large, and thus also heavier, and the fittings need to be capable of bearing the extra loads.

Hueck/Hartmann has tackled this problem by extending its range of fittings for tilt-and-turn windows of the 1.0 profile series to accommodate sashes weighing up to 160 kg. The necessary additional components have been added to the company’s standard range of tried-and-tested fittings.
The fabricator has the choice of either using completely prefabricated fittings or modifying the Hueck standard fittings with a load-bearing capacity of 125 kg using a 160 kg conversion kit.
Thanks to practical aids, such as the drilling and positioning jigs offered by Hueck/Hartmann, the new fitting, which is certificated according to RAL-RG 607/3, can be fitted without difficulty and thus ensures that the installation is carried out speedily and accurately.

  • A conversion kit allows fittings from the 1.0 series to be used for maximum loads of 160 kg. This means larger tilt-and-turn windows can be used, in keeping with the current architectural trend. The fittings are available either as completely prefabricated items or as conversion kits for installation by the fabricator. Suitable aids, such as positioning and drilling jigs, facilitate processing and installation.
