Lüdenscheid, Germany, 14 January 2005. The current trend in architecture is buildings with light-flooded façades and large glazed areas. If the façade is to maintain a harmonious appearance, the window sashes need to be correspondingly large, and thus also heavier, and the fittings need to be capable of bearing the extra loads.
Hueck/Hartmann has tackled this problem by extending its range of fittings for tilt-and-turn windows of the 1.0 profile series to accommodate sashes weighing up to 160 kg. The necessary additional components have been added to the company’s standard range of tried-and-tested fittings.
The fabricator has the choice of either using completely prefabricated fittings or modifying the Hueck standard fittings with a load-bearing capacity of 125 kg using a 160 kg conversion kit.
Thanks to practical aids, such as the drilling and positioning jigs offered by Hueck/Hartmann, the new fitting, which is certificated according to RAL-RG 607/3, can be fitted without difficulty and thus ensures that the installation is carried out speedily and accurately.
